This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record or photo. Contact the responsible agency directly.

Official Shasta County Contacts

The right contact depends on whether the question concerns a record or a person now held at the jail. Published office hours were not confirmed in the project research, so call before an in-person visit.

Sheriff Administration and Records

Shasta County Sheriff’s Office
300 Park Marina Circle
Redding, CA 96001
Phone: (530) 245-6000

The Sheriff’s Records Unit handles agency record routes. A focused California Public Records Act request may be sent to prasheriff@co.shasta.ca.us. County requests may also go through the public-records information page, the NextRequest portal, or prarequest@shastacounty.gov. No flat booking-photo fee or guaranteed fulfillment time was published.

Jail and Current Custody

Shasta County Jail, Custody Division
1655 West Street
Redding, CA 96001
Custody information: (530) 245-6100

Use the official Shasta County Inmate Lookup for current custody. It is not a complete list of everyone arrested, and a person released after booking may no longer appear.

Choose the source that matches the request:

  • For a booking record or photograph, follow the focused request steps on the county booking and roster page, then ask the arresting agency for any separate incident report.
  • For a Shasta County warrant question, use the official contacts described under Most Wanted Fugitives. No current public Sheriff warrant portal was verified.
  • For a recent Redding arrest, check the Redding Police Department’s twice-monthly arrest logs; Anderson and Shasta Lake have no verified recurring local log.
  • For release alerts, use the Sheriff’s VINE information. The service offers custody notifications, but only the jail can confirm a current release status.
  • For filed charges and the final disposition, search the Shasta County Superior Court portal or contact the court’s Criminal Division.
  • For a sentenced California state prisoner, use CDCR’s CIRIS locator; identification photographs follow a separate CDCR request policy.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE detainee locator.
